Hi everyone!
I have probably added you and you probably came here to figure out who I was?
I am a Tulane grad student. And I am Russian. My name is Natalia. (Love to be called just Nata by the way) It is almost a year since I came here from Moscow. ("Russian default city" as my best friend called it once. That is true. All Russians come from Moscow except... except for those who come from somewhere else.)
Anyway.. I feel kind of.. too much living in the past - communicating with my Russian friends from undergraduate school, having Russian diary, living with Russian boyfriend. But I am here! I am open to new life, new friends and new adventures. Still confused about my language though. So I hope this way I can become more involved in the local life - maybe to find friends, to understand the culture, and just to know what is going on here, in New Orleans. + Upgrade my English. So I started writing this English journal (yes, this journal will be completely English).
LJuser "klobnoni" is me too, I am writing there a lot and communicate a lot, but it is written on my native language. You can go and watch some photos there if it seems interesting for you or just to verify I am not a machine but a person.
What I also do is participating in "Couch Surfing" community and find lots of fun there. You knew about it? That is a way to stay at someone's place while traveling (someone you have never met before) and host as many guests from all over US and abroad, as you want. (It's not an AD, I am just really excited about it and write about it because it is an important part of my life/interests). I mean.. in other words you can use it and stay at my place if you want, that is what I mean.
I lived in Japan several years and I had been to Japanese school. Japan changed me a lot, and I love it! (Both the fact, that Japan changed me and actually the Japan itself.) I can speak Japanese, but reading is tedious... You understand why :)
Also, if you want to meet with me by any chance - I completely agree!! (doesn't matter what gender you are) But! I have a boyfriend, so no romantic, ok?
So, I think that's it for here.
Thank you for your attention and welcome to my Journal!
P.S. I know, I need some more userpics, in addition to that crazy chemical one from WebMO :)
